CHS coach Frank Greco is getting some deserved attention for the hard work he has put into the girls basketball team: Philadelphia Inquirer: Central and Greco near a milestone (The girls seek 100th league win in row.).
Greco, now in his 10th season with the girls, has built the Lancers into a Public League powerhouse. They have won 99 straight league games. Wednesday, in a home game against Martin Luther King, they can nail down No. 100.
I think I had a gym class with Mr. Greco and, if I’m not mistaken, I remember him giving people a really hard time about wearing the right shades of crimson and gold sweatsuits to class. That was a tad ridiculous. He’s a nice guy though and without a doubt dedicated to Central. Congratulations, Mr. G.
